The Target Series (2022) is visually appealing while metaphorically critiquing the culture. "She Has Seen It All" is an elegant mixed-media artwork including feathers and ruby-red Swarovski crystals. My objective was to focus on the figure's feminine gaze, the balance of her blackness and vulnerability, supported by the symbolic softness of the gorgeous black feathers. While bearing witness to societal ills, this young woman's agency, style, and dignity remain steadfast.
